Architectural Modifications

In accordance with the association covenants, changes to the exterior of homes in Greenridge Estates, including additions in the backyard, must be reviewed by the Architectural and Environmental Review Committee and approved by the Board of Directors before any work is done.  Examples include, but are not limited to:

*Home additions, fences, decks, sheds, pools, some tree removal, and driveway expansions are among the modifications that also require permitting from Montgomery County Department of Permitting ServicesWritten HOA approval is usually required by DPS prior to applying for a permit.  

Here are the steps to get your project going:

The AERC meets  on the last Thursday of the month to review architectural modification applications.  Plan your projects accordingly to allow ample time for approval or, if necessary, other changes that may be requested by the AERC to ensure compliance with the covenants.

Starting work prior to AERC approval is a violation of the covenants, and any exterior addition, change or alteration may be subject to fines and required to be restored to the original condition at the owner's expense.
